i was peacefully sat eating dinner near my computer when Adium X buzzed to let me know someone was trying to talk to me. I turned around and it was a chat called 'MSN Chat'. It had opened a new chat window, with it's own contact list, none of which i recognised.

There were 10ish names and a face paced chat going on, my name was in the list but i had no idea who the others were or what they were talking about. They didn't chat to me directly, so after a couple mins i just closed the window. It hasn't come back yet but i am very confused

I'm using Adium X on Msn network

Any ideas???

EDIT: sorry didn't realise that word was off limits

That's very odd indeed. Not sure what happened, but what did they say? Give us the dirt? Maybe the people wanted to invite a friend, who had a username close to yours.

I agree with IWhat. Sounds like someone invited you to a group chat. Either by accident or found it in a search and invited you for the fun of it. Since they did not say a thing to you it was probably an accident. I have had that happen in the past on AIM.
