media card reader; SD slot

I am considering buying a new Macbook Pro, my first Mac. I want to make sure it has a slot that will take my sd card from my camera? Does anyone know if the Macbook and/or the Macbook Pro have such a slot for media cards?

No slot for a SD card, only for an Express Card/type 34. See here.

You can always get one of those external USB plugin ones. It doesn't have any type of media reader built in.

I use the Belkin expresscard reader too. It's fantastic and is the only one out of 6 I've tried that doesn't wake the MBP up from sleep.
