Hi,

I am upgrading my hard drive to a new WD SATA 7200 320gb hard drive. After swapping out the hard drive how do I reinstall the OS? Just pop in the restore CD and boot from it? Im still new to Mac's so do I need to go into a BIOS to enable boot from CD rom or hold down any keys upon booting up similar to a PC?

Yep, just restore from the CD as if you were doing a clean install. You'll need to make sure the HD is formatted to Mac OS Extended of course.

First I should format to mac extended then boot from the CD after turning it on? This will start the OS setup right? Thanks!

Yep. Load the CD and boot to it, go to disc utility and format the HD, then quit utility and carry on with the install.

Hold down the "c" key to boot from CD. Enjoy your new HD! I love my new WD 7200RPM 320GB HD.
