Spotlight freeze + relaunch

Hy!

Spotlight is having problems... started today. I do not know what caused it...

When I start with particular letters ( s, w, h ,i) Spotlight frezes and restarts.
It behaves strange in general too - blinking on new search (it never did that).

I searched some forums and it was suggested to run Disk Repair with OSX boot cd... Everything seems to be fine, I repaired the permissions... No satisfying results. =(

Any ideas what could be the problem and how to solve it?


Ps.: No, I do not use Quicksilver. And even if I would, I hate the idea that something is not right or working correctly.

spotlight freezes while typing

when i go search i too get a frozen field. i tried typing in "text" and it would freeze on the t.

recently i updated iLife and Safari. also I installed bootcamp and made the windows drive readable by my mac. maybe there's something going on with indexing related to that fat32 file system?

Quicksilver is a great Spotlight replacement. Once you use it, you'll never use Spotlight again.
