First letter wont type on screen...

I have this problem that is intermittent...
When i type something anywhere on the screen the first letter doesnt always come up.....
Its becoming really annoying

Any suggestions please

Have you checked on updates - this was a known issue but seem to recall there was an update to sort it.

If you no of any particular one i can check and recheck
