I know Macs are pretty much impervious to viruses and the like. But what I would like to know is, since there is possibly spyware or malware or such, is there a program that will scan my HD for anything like that?

TIA

it is possible and there are softwares for this however i often read of these programs causing more harm then good.

if your a smart user of the the web and dont have an uncontrollable porn site fetish then its a safe bet you are not going to need anything. i fix a lot of pc's and a few mac every week for people and i can safely say that 75% of the problem if it is not hardware related is related to Limewire or someone with a porn site problem. gets kinda funny some times too when the guy know's he is busted LOL and thats why his house PC is nothing but a popup monster.

if you feel you must use something then take a look at MacScan.
