i was wondering if this was possible:

a way for my friends and I to upload music to one central source online to download eachothers music from, but not a public filesharing service. Are there any sites that do that?

sorry if this is in the wrong section!

I would try DropBox. That could work pretty well.

Just be aware that they do not allow material that is copyrighted and you don't have the rights to distribute. So if your sharing independent music or creative commons music then this is great. If it's main stream music with copyrights then that's not the place and this isn't the forum to ask. :)

Dropbox - Terms - Secure backup, sync and sharing made easy.

the files are all copyrighted so i dont think that'd work.

do you think there'd be a way to do it using my time capsule?
or maybe a site that has password protected file storage?

Is it your music that you are looking to share? What kind is it?

yeah, i'm looking for a place to compile all of the music of my friends and me, so we all dont have to burn one another cd's.

its just mp3's and AAC's. none of it would have DRM.

So you asking for a solution that would facilitate breaking copyright law? You're not going to get an answer to this one.
