Cannot move files

I've got 4 folders in my downloads folder on my system hard drive and i cannot move them out of this folder onto my external harddrive or burn them to disk, i can just cannot seem to remove them off of my computer at all and i really need them backed up and also burnt to disk, all i get when i do try to move them is a Copy error "Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured. (Error Code 0)

Could any of the files be in use? The fact that they're in your downloads folder leads me to wonder if they're torrents that are still downloading or seeding. You might also try moving them as root in Terminal.
