Hello,

I want to install window xp on my new macbook and have downloaded virtualbox for this purpose. The window installation stops half-way with an I/O device error and I don't know what to do!!

The disc I am using is an OEM for Dell, does this mean it won't install on my macbook? Please help!!!! I'm new to mac.

Many thanks!

You should not use an OEM Dell disk to install Windows XP either in VB, Fusion, Parallels, or Boot Camp. You must use a full install MS boxed version of Windows XP or an OEM System Builders full install version.

Regards.
