Textedit has just disappeared!

I cant find textedit anywhere on my computer and use it regularly, looked everywhere and searched the computer many times, nothing! nada!

Can anyone help? Can someone send me textedit please?

First i assume that you cannot find it in your Applications folder, then if you download and install Pacifist you can load just the Text Edit app from your install disk

Did you do just a Spotlight search, or did you use something that actually does a full search (like EasyFind)?

Failing that, there must be an alternative shareware / freeware app that will do the same job.

If Textedit somehow made it to the trash and is gone, just download pacifist and get it off the OSX DVD.

There are other text editors, but Text Edit is such a part of OSX and works well with the other Apple apps.

I thought it's his/her main text editor. It's a free solution.
