I think the last 2 are really nice and the concept of the first one rules, yet I don't think it is executed in a good way. I don't know why, but the VJ-glass just doesn't look totally right to me

Don't get me wrong, I like them very much.

First one requires too much thought, which is a shame, because it is a great thought. Also, why make 'Logo's' possessive in the title??? Such a pet peeve of mine...

Your first one is good concept, and somewhat bad execution. For one thing I doubt the logo is going to be that size.

When you make logos you need to simplify and think about what is this going to look like at a smaller or bigger size.

I like the 2nd one the best. Even though it's boring.

The last one is so cliche and the type choice is a big no no. Can barely read that, and I don't even want to entertain the idea of what that would look like at 10 or 12 points.

you mean something like this then crimson.. all filled in black instead of the hollowed out logo.. you also now if you the person was going to put it in different places the logo can adapt.. and a logo should be able to do that.. anyways i posted it hollow and solid and two sizes.. let me know your thoughts.. i would agree it does look nice solid when smaller..

.. you also now if you the person was going to put it in different places the logo can adapt.. and a logo should be able to do that...

If that's the case then why is the shutter graphic being cropped off like that? It's missing the top, left, and bottom. That not really adapting or versatile because you are forcing it into a position where it may or may not work.

These seem to be more like Logotypes, so I would take out the shutter because it's not really working there anyways. Either that or do some substitution.

Did you get a chance to read the two books that you bought? The one on color for logos also has examples of logos and why they work. If you read the captions you also get a sense of how they did that.

I suggest you read the captions and write down all the techniques and ways they accomplished those logos, so that you can use them in your own work.

I agree with what some previous posters said... The first one's concept is by far the best... If you can continue working on the first one to make it seem like it is executed effectively then that one will be the best. As of right now, I like the second one the best.

The first one is a nice idea with two flaws IMO:
1. Too much clutter - ditch the sword and chain
2. Isn't the whole point that martini glasses are really shallow? Perhaps consider making the "v" more flat & cone shaped.
