I would like to email photos in their entirety, without iPhoto making the file smaller. (i.e., usually a 2.2MB file will be shrunk to 400KB or so, even at its best setting) This causes dismay to the recipient that would like to enlarge the photo without it becoming "pixally". Any suggestions?

open iPhoto, drag the thumbnail you want to email to the desktop(it wont delete the iPhoto copy) and drag the desktop image into a new email

Or, use the export function to export to the desktop. You will be prompted for your choice of sizes.

Once you get the photo into Mail make sure you have "Actual Size" selected on the bottom right of the mail window.
