I had Computer 1 networked with Computer 2 through ethernet. Computer 2 has been disconnected, but when I choose certain folders, attachments, files, etc., Computer 1 tries an "AFP connection" and begins to "look up" Computer 2. Eventually the connection fails and Computer 1 tells me the server no longer exists and I should check the name and/or IP address. (Huge waste of time)
I have turned off AppleTalk, Ethernet, and everything else I could think of in the Network settings in System Preferences, but nothing seems to work.
Thanks for your help.
