Hey everyone. I'm new to the site and I've searched for this but cannot find an answer. Hope you can help. I am leaving the country for about 6 - 12 months. I want to take my DVDs with me, without taking my DVDs with me and I wold like to be able to connect my MacBook Pro or external drive (whichever you decide would be better) to the TV to watch my movies. What would be the best way, best quality, easiest way to do this?
Thanks.

Only way to do it currently and stay totally within the boundaries of the law here in the U.S. is with Drive-In by Telestream. Made by the same company that is the developer of Flip4Mac.

What if he isn't in the US? Where are you located. I would just back up to an external HDD and get a minidisplay port to DVI.

Check out handbrake. It's a great free app.

We follow US law here as it relates to allowable discussion.
