Sleep/wake issue

Not sure if it is an OSX problem or hardware.... My macbook will not come out of sleep. I have to force shutdown. This has been happening since I downloaded the latest OSX update. (18th May).

I know the sleep/wake thing has plagued macs but is anyone else suffering since the latest update? Could it be something else?
