Hi. i own an asus eee 1000h netbook with windows xp that im seeling on ebay, and will be getting an alu mac 2.0ghz

after looking at pcs all week i decided that the stability of mac would be better for me than getting an alienware with dual hard drives

especially as i wont be playing games on it

im using the mac mainly to write books

i just need to know if i can transfer the following easily to a mac

open office documents
works word documents
2000 adobe opentype fonts
tiff images
music

i believe a freeware neo office will be able to open those files?

so basically i need to buy an external hard drive and im not sure which is suitable and easiest for doing a one time transfer

would i be right in thinking a lacie or wd passport drive

thanks if you guys can help
