Looking for a programm to cut movie parts!!

Hello everyone,

i recently watched a movie (cars). Some of the sequences are funy stuff, so i d'like to watch certain scenes again. Right now i'm looking for a programm which can cut specific sequences out of a movie file (avi, mpg, mp4, etc..).

What progamm would you guys use to do that? (would imovie be an option?)

its me again, uhm... i've been trying to cut out a few scenes, but there's one single problem. When i marked the scene, i dont know how to proceed. There's no "save in new file" or anything else which would let me know what i have to do next with the scene.

Do you know what to do?
