I have just been doing a little housekeeping on my iMac and found a folder in the root of the hard drive called 'Previous Systems'. It is about 8Gb I think.

Am I correct in thinking that was left behind when I had to reinstall the OS to repair my system a while ago? Can I safely delete it now?

A separate question - also about the root of the hard drive. It seems that each of my Sims2 games has installed itself at the root of the hard drive, rather than in Applications. Is it safe to move them into Applications? Are they doing any harm where they are?

The 'Previous System' folder is created when you do an 'archive and install'.

It can safely be deleted once you're sure you want nothing else from it.
