I downloaded a TV show from iTunes. As we all know it came in m4v format. iDVD only burns the sound. The video is a gray screen.
I don't want to gather the whole family around the MacBook to watch it, so is there a FREE converter out there so I can burn it to DVD so we can watch it on the wide screen TV? Everything I've seen costs $39 or more.

its a protected file, so we cannot discuss on this forum a way to break the DRM, it would be breaking the law

You could look at adaptors to plug the macbook directly to the TV, which is a great way of using the mac as a video source

to help you we would need to know the model of Macbook you have

I have a MacBook Pro (purchased Nov 2007). Since it's only one TV show I doubt if I'll spring for Apple TV or other hardware. I get plenty of movies and TV shows with my Netflix subscription.
