disable font smoothing per application?

If you have come from the windows world then font smoothing may seem a little odd, but it is the way of the mac. After you have used a mac for a while you may start to see the windows type display method as being rather crude and blocky
Windows tended to shy away from font smoothing to make type readable on early low resolution screens, the mac has always tried to preserve the style and look of fonts, hence the font smoothing
