What type (or frequency) of cordless home telephone is best to avoid any router interference? I currently have an Airport Extreme connected to my iMac and an Airport Express in another room connected to my stereo. Thanks in advance.

I've never experienced any router interference from a phone! Seems to me any DECT phone is fine. I've had several.

I have had Siemens cordless and currently 2 handsets off a Brother MFC running airports with both 2.4 & 5 GHz all without any interference.

Go with the 5.8Ghz or the new "6" band and you'll be fine.

Bingo. Many phones use the 2.4GHz band, and they do operate in the same range as 802.11b/g/n. However, usually a quick channel change will correct those problems. But if you want to be absolutely certain, newer 5.8GHz phones are completely outside the range.
