Password protecting a folder

Your Mac's Specs
G4 1Ghz OS X 10.4.7
With the drive mounted (Finder) select the file (folder) and Apple I As Admin user you can change the write/read permissions meaning your admin password is needed to take any action on the file/folder

It wont let me change anything. I just want it so the folder cant be opened without a password
