I am looking to buy a new iMac g5 20". But I am worried about the little ram.
Where is the best place to buy ram to upgrade?
Are Generic rams ok to upgrade, beacuse they seam to be alot cheaper

Thanks J

I purchased my iMac with a single 512mb stick of Samsung RAM. Then, because I am so anal, I purchased another indentical 512 stick of Samsung ram from NewEgg.com for like $70. You can probably find RAM elswhere for $5-$10 less, but like I said, I'm anal and I wanted an identical match.

I bought my iMac with 512 so i wouldn't have to take the 256 out to install 1 GB.
Bought an extra 512 from crucial for £44.99

Don't ruin what is a perfect piece of hardware by putting cheap ram in it. Get it by a decent make. I made the mistake of going for a 1GB cheepo stick and had got kernel crashes so I sent it back and got two identical 512Mb sticks fro Kingston for the same price and a lot less headaches.
