So I aquired an old imac G3, its a older model and I wanted to upgrade it from OS 8.6 to OS X 10.3 or 10.2

The machine was to be used by my mom, who wishes she had a computer but is having some financial troubles like alot of us. So I downloaded images for 10.2 and 10.3, then I burnt 10.3 to a disk and popped it into the iMac and it gives me this message "This disk is unreadable by this Computer. Do you want to initalize the disk?" and it wont boot from the disk by holding C either.

Any help?

It's illegal to download images of any Apple OS. Purchase a legal copy and ask your question again. Also, please read the forum rules.

chscag is correct. It's against the law and therefor the forum rules to discuss any form of piracy. Go on Ebay and find a used Retail version of 10.2 or 10.3 and it will install.
