Help!!! What causes iMac display anomalies?

I've been having strange display problems. Anyone ran into this? Anyone know what the fix is? Or how much it is to have fixed?

graphics card or logic board most likely. i would take it to an apple store and have them look at it and give you a price to fix it. i would then see if thats the best price you could can get assuming you are out of apple care warranty or if it can be repaired elsewhere for less.
