special characters?

Recently converted from Windows to Imac. Is there any quick way to find the half. threequarter and quarter symbols. I am learning to run Quark as the main purpose of the change and use these three fairly often in my work.

If you have a flag on your title bar, right click on it, select Show Character Palette and then under by category select 'Digits'

What version of Quark are you using, it should have a Glyphs palette

I have version 8. Yes there is a flag on the bar, and yes I have seen 'glyphs' at some point. Will locate both and try, once the day has begun for me. many thanks for your help on this. Be better if there was a shortish book presented with the Mac which gave some guidance for people like me. Thanks again.
