make growl shine through WoW fullscreen?

Any way to make growl shine through World of Warcraft while running fullscreen? I want to get alerts from adium while running fullscreen so I can tab back to space 1 for adium...

This is possible, I stumbled upon how to do this accidently a while back.

Hit esc.
Click on Video.
Select "Resolution"
Check the boxes that say "windowed mode", and "Maximized"
Click apply.

Now you can have your adium buddy list, growl, and other apps that let you set them to stay on top like bowtie remain on top of WoW, while your dock, menu bar, etc remain hidden.

Doing this makes World of Warcraft look like it is running fullscreen, but it really isn't.
