12" PB with backlit keyboard

I see on PBparts.com that you can buy a backlit keyboard for the 15" PB, my question is what is keeping that keyboard out of my 12". The keyboards are the same size, right?

Your Mac's Specs
stock 17" 2.8ghz unibody mbp.
you dont have the right connector i guess. and there's no room for the light sensor to be installed
