hi guys, i'm in a bit of a spot here....

I tried to change my leopard dock, and followed the instructions on this site:

How To Replace Leopard Dock Files - LeopardDocks.com

which said to:

1. Go to Macintosh HD > /System/Library/Core Services/
2. Right-Click on "Dock" and select "Show Package Contents"
3. Go to /Contents/Resources/
4. Backup the files you are about to replace (Incase you did not listen, here they are)
5. Move those same original files to the trash
6. Move the files you downloaded to that folder
7. Open Terminal and type "killall Dock" (without the quotes)
8. View your nice new dock

I backed up all my dock files incase this tutorial was wrong or incase i made a mistake.

there is now no dock folder and i cant put the backed up files back into the dock folder. The "Dock" folder that was there initially in system/core services is no longer a folder and I can not drop things in it. It is now an applescript icon.... i cant right click my trash or any other apps in my dock anymore....

feel free to have a laugh at me or point me in the right direction. I've learned my lesson with messing with the system/core services and typing things in the terminal with my limited knowledge of the OS

I have a black macbook and I believe it is 10.5....

Hi,

All Mac Applications (including the Dock, Finder, etc.) are actually folders. Right click on the Dock icon in CoreServices and select "Show Package Contents." You should then be able to view and add/subtract files from within the folder.
