iTunes Problem?

Today after I accidentally removed my shuffle while it was updating.Now every time i try to open iTunes it says..The iTunes 4 music library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission for this file.. tried restarting, repair permissions, set preferences ot allow all users to have read and write permission. iTunes still won't open help!!

Well figured it out restarted my iBook with both iPods plugged in and now it works. Go figure. Whew......
