Hi,

I run my 17" Macbook Pro as a desktop, and have just recently purchased the Benq Senseye+photo G2220HDA 22" display to use on my MBP. I plugged the display in and turned the machine on. The external display has a res of 1920 x 1080 and my MBP has a res of 1680 x 1050. The problem I hae is that the external display has a distorted image and is a bit fuzzy. Does anyone use this display on their Mac? Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
Thanks,

Nigel

Some things to check:

1. Make sure you're using the correct adapter from your MBP to the display. You didn't say which model MBP you have but the output will either be DVI or the newer mini display port. You might try switching say, from DVI - DVI to DVI - VGA and see if that makes a difference.

2. Display settings in System Preferences: Set the resolution for the new monitor at its native settings. Anything else will cause distortion or an out of focus image.

Regards.

Hi....i´m having the same issue. I have connected a Benq E2200HD 22" display to a macbook pro 2010 15" core i7 2.66 GHz, Nvidia GT330M via minidplayport - vga adapter, purchased in an apple store.

When it starts, the image get distorted a little (like if the external monitor image gets interference) and then it goes back to normal.

I have checked if the lcd from the computer does the same thing when running with the nvidia, but it doesn´t. When connected to a external display, the computer uses the nvidia. i have both monitor to native resolutions. I have also gfxcard status. I have got no solution as far, and i have seen only this particular case in the web, i believe is the benq monitor, i don´t have another lcd monitor to see it happens the same phenomena.

If something else wtih this specific setup is experiencing this issue, please comment. Thanks

It happens to my Samsung 21.5" B2230 LCD frequently after wake on from sleep mode, apparently Apple product specialist has no clue or resolution. Probably a defect with the external display port... I will be returning my unit for a refund.
