Powerbook G4 Pulsing Static Noise

So, I dont know if my Powerbook has been doing this, or if i just started noticing it, but i hear a pulsing static sound coming from the speakers on both sides. When i start to load programs and that type of stuff it will get quieter, but I can still hear it. I guess im just curious if there is an issue with the speakers, or if this is just the memory im hearing. The system is a 1.25 Aluminum PB with 80gb HD and 2gb RAM running 10.4.11.
