question... water damage?

okay.. i don't even know what the name of the insert it is.. but it's the one in between the two usb ones and the one that looks like a box with two lines beside it..

but anyways.. my son happened to get icecream into that peice.. i basically cleaned it RIGHT away, and the computer works fine, but can that cause water damage or anything else problematic?

If your not seeing any issues, I wouldn't worry about it. I have stupidly spilled countless drinks, food etc on my 17 inch MBP and have as of yet not had any issues.
