Yes they do but it's solid state and doesn't appear to be released yet. You can read more about it here. Unfortunately, it appears to be, "targeted at servers and other large dull users like the military". So for you, no.

And in order to buy one, you have to take out a second mortgage on your home. :)

PS: Military - dull users? I don't think so.

Regards.

Yeah, I wasn't sure why the military was classified as dull.

There are 500GB 7200RPM HDD, you are just not looking hard enough.

Found here by Seagate. WD probably also has one, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now.

I just checked WD's site as I am bored and no 500GB 7200RPM 2.5" drives. Come on WD, Seagate has one! Get busy! :D

500GB seems to be the limit right now for 2.5" drives one can afford anyway.

320GB was a milestone for 2.5" like a while back. I didn't even hear any news about 500GB until recently (2 months).

WD is seriously behind. They better be making something that is equally as good or better. >_>"

Yep, the 320 GB 7200 has been out for almost a year now.

Seagate is the first to make a splash at the 500 GB size.
