I was just wondering, what everyone's connection speed is? I just want to know, if my ISP is being too generous or is my connection speed the norm now?

dn: 3143 kbps
up: 350 kbps

Sometimes, I can get up to 3500 kbps. And other people in my area can get up to 4000 kpbs with my ISP.

Use this link, if you want to test your connection speed:

It's not the NORM, but you can get it a lot of places now. I get 3490 down, 297 up. Others with my ISP get 6000+ dn, 768 up. They're on a higher end plan though. Small business workplace plan.

Most of you must have Cable. Here in Central Calif. with DSL I get 1.2Mbits down and 300 up. The down is pretty typical for California SBC Dsl. My upload is about 2x what most of my friends on DSL get. I am not far from the Central Office.

That's really good. Too bad, there are no websites or anything else that takes advantage of these high download speeds.
