Having to click Save repeatedly before a file will save

Any time I'm downloading a file, with Firefox or Safari, I have to click "Save" like 20-30 times before the window actually goes away. The button will visibly press down each time I click it, and simply clicking it and waiting does nothing (it's not a slow computer problem).

Does anyone have a similar experience?

Also, when I'm trying to rename a file, as I'm renaming it, the blinking cursor will instantly go to the beginning of the filename as I'm typing every time I press a key (so if I try to type "file" it shows up "elif"). It does this until I cancel it and try again, and eventually it'll work. Any ideas?

Thanks!

2nd one sounds like a stuck left arrow key.

Knowing what Mac, keyboard, mouse you're using would probably help.

Have you tried another keyboard?

I'm on a unibody macbook pro, it's about 2 months old. I don't think it's a stuck key, switching into another program doesn't have the same cursor scrolling problem... hmm
