In the short time that i have been reading the networking area, the one recurring issue that crops up is lack of information.
Here is a list of topics that can well play a part in the Q & A routine:
Surely others will be able to improve on this but to me it seems a good starting point;
Service - DSL or ADSL or Cable
Modem or Modem/Router
Wireless or Ethernet
Computer G3 G4 G5 Intel
OS in some areas Tiger is a bit different to Leopard and Panther has other limitations.

If wireless then
Wireless - Apple or non Apple
Other units on LAN
802.11b or 802.11g or 802.11n
Mod - you might want to improve on this and shift it elsewhere.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I think the first thing that springs to mind is that we strive to be an open community, and not solely a technical support resource. Although that is the topic of that forum, I don't think we want to have such rigid rules about posting structure.
