tonight i will do a fresh install on to my new drive. It has OS Panther on it and nothing else.

I have a PB G4 to work with also.

should i ?????

just let 10.5 install and go over Panther. Or clean hard drive first?

And do i really need to do partitions etc as i keep my computer real simple.

what is the best way to wipe my drive 100% clean first ?
I do have a fire wire cable as i know this could be needed !!

Thanks

If you have nothing to be saved (documents, pictures, etc), then go ahead and wipe the drive clean. A clean install is always the surest way to avoid complications.

As for how you wipe the drive... it's up to you. The installer will, or you can mount it in Target Disk Mode to the other Mac and wipe it from there. No need for multiple partitions.
