• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi,

I’m actually wondering whether there are already new effects available for iMovie ’09. From Apple or 3rd party. I googled around but I was surprised that I couldn’t find anything. A bit weird.

Ultimately I’m looking on how to do this with iMovie:
Mala on Vimeo

I hope it’s possible..
...is there someone who knows how to do this?

Thanks!

There are new effects in iMovie 09, but I just upgraded today and haven't had time to explore them all.. however, I do think there is a blur or lens flare effect, so if you get a chance, look through. If you have access to a local Apple store, many will have free workshops on iMovie/iDVD. Go and sit in on one, they are very helpful.
