I get ad mails that suggest that my mac would benefit from a "spring clean" and that buying the appropriate package would help.
Anyone have any advice or suggestions on this topic?

Thanks

Download a programme called OnyX. It will keep your Mac lovely and clean.

It also doesn't hurt to remove applications with something like AppZapper or AppCleaner.

Don't take any of the suggestions that the spam gives you - it's just spam. Although, the idea of doing "spring cleaning" as you say is not a bad idea.
