I am considering upgrading my MacBook Pros 250GB HD to a 500GB but I think that I dont want to have to upgrade right away since I think 750GB 2.5" Drives are coming out. Does anyone have a general idea on when they are going to be released? I think that I might just wait for 750GB

Let me know what you think

Yeah, I'd go ahead and upgrade it. 500GB drives are cheap enough now to make it a safe bet.

I don't think you're going to see 750GB anytime soon. The 500GB drives haven't been out very long. Just make sure it's not a Samsung/Hitachi/Toshiba drive.

I think the more important question is whether or not you actually need 750GB. Remember, if you put that 250 in an external enclosure, you have 750GB between the two HDs. It's not like having one 750GB drive but it should do the job nonetheless.

But, as alluded to by the earlier posters, I have yet to see a 750GB 2.5" drive. Where did you get your info from?

Well, I work at best buy and i place orders for HDDs etc and I asked our manager if he knew anything about 640 or 750GB HDs for laptops and he said that they are expected for Q2 of 2009
