remote access from macbook to my pc in office

hi all,

does anybody know how i can do it?

i already have the tightVNC server installed in my pc. I have chicken in VNC on my mac. I adjusted the setting in preference " sharing" and also adjust the window defender.... but i can't seems to connect from mac to window and the other way....

i need someone to advice me or point me to somewhere.... the info online are kinda outdated... i am not sure it is still compatible.. i am using the latest mac 10.5.6 and vista business..

any help is very appreciated..

No need to use VNC at all when going mac -> PC, just get Microsoft Remote Desktop, and enable remote access on the pc...

Beyond that - make sure:

1) Firewalls will allow the data through
2) If your pc is behind a router (ie: shared cable or dsl link), you need to forward the appropriate ports from the router to the pc otherwise your data will never get there.
