Is this a good price for a new MBP?

$1722 after tax and rebate for a sealed Unibody MBP 2.4 plus extended Applecare.

It's from an ebay power seller. Should I do it?

I would never buy a "brand-new and sealed" computer from anyone on eBay.

If you want to buy a used computer, eBay is fine.
If you want a new one, then just get it from Apple.

don't do it man! I was tempted to buy one off of ebay for about 1800 bucks with the bigger hard drive, 4gb of ram, and the warranty, but then i noticed that i hadn't received my shipment even 4 weeks after i bought and paid for it. I filed a claim on paypal and got my money back! If it sounds too good to be true, DO NOT BUY IT!!! ESPECIALLY ON EBAY!!! They can say that there is a warranty, but APPLE does not extend their original warranty for buyers on ebay!!! You can ask them yourself. Unless this is an actual apple resale dealer on ebay.
