Select default browser in Mac mail

I have Firefox set as my default browser, but Mac Mail still defaults to Safari. I like safari and everything, but I would prefer it to use Firefox when I, for instance, select some text to search in Google, and already have firefox running.

any ideas?

Maybe you need to set the system wide default browser.

Open up safari and select its preferences, you can select Firefox as the default browser there and Mail should now link up to Firefox
