I have a 80GB iPod classic. I want to put a movie on it called Seasons. I put it onto my macbook using handbrake. The movie is in a MPEG-4 format, so it should just sync up with my iPod. The movie is in my iTunes library in the movie section.

Whenever I try to sync the movie this message comes up.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

Just because it's an MP4 doesn't mean it will play on your iPod. The iPod has a rather specific set of requirements. Since you ripped it with Handbrake, go back and rip it again using the iPod preset graciously provided by the development team. This will ensure your movie will in fact play on your iPod.

Ok. I'll try that. But when I uploaded it the first time I did not see any iPod preset. Could you help me out?

Make sure you you click the button on the top of the Window that says "Presets" A sidebar will slide out with the presets. Then select presets from the task bar and select "Update Presets" to make sure you have the latest ones. Select the preset for your iPod and go.

try highlighting the movie in itunes, then going up to the advanced option on the top menu bar, once you click on that it'll give you an option to create an ipod version....see if that helps

That will work, but it will take FOREVER.
