Office 12008 for Mac Trial Version

It's about time. With free trials of both Office 2007 and iWork 09, there was no reason to have an Office 2008 trial so delayed.

Oh, yes there was. It took all those updates to make it usable.

Downloaded the trial and so far, I like it better than 2004. Launching the application seems marginally quicker, closing the application is much quicker, and documents load much more quickly. Thus far I'm happy and it doesn't feel (to me) like Office 2007 for Windows, which I dislike.

Well vansmith I been called much worse than that let me assure you! Guess we just get the news faster than you North Americans, being a day or so in front of you, or maybe you are a day or so behind us? I better ask hughvane about that. New Zealand is in front of everybody!!

I like to think that MS was saving us from the frustrations of 08. They should never have released a trial if that were true though, so obviously I'm wrong.

It runs faster than '04 because it's UB, but ugh- some of the layout changes are just atrocious.
