Would somebody be able to tell me if my Aluminium PowerBook G4 1.25 GHz will be able to boot from a USB HDD, please? And what about a Firewire 800 HDD?

If its not able to, is that because it has a PowerPC processor and not an Intel one? Any help will be appreciated.

Many thanks! :)

All G3, G4 and G5 machines are PowerPC (PPC) and generally will not boot from an external USB, even USB 2, drive. Intel machines will boot from USB.

You must have Firewire connection, set up drive with Apple Partition Map, even if one partition chosen, and then format Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
