Hi All, I'm posting this here because i think my HD is in big trouble, please convince me otherwise......
My iMac wont boot.....
- tried the Safe Mode Boot....didnt work
- tried the Single User Mode Boot, with the fsck -fy command at the prompt.....didnt work
- Booted of the CD, Utilities->Disk Utility then did a Repair Disk, this is what i get:
Verify and Repair disk Macintosh HD
Checking HFS Volume
Checking Extents Overflow file
Checking Catalog file
Invalid node structure
Volume check failed.
Error: The underlying task reported a failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
1 volume could not be repaired because of an error
Then a message appears:
First Aid failed
Disk Utility stopped repairing "Macintosh HD"
because the following error was encountered:
The underlying task reported a failure on exit
HELP.......BIG TIME!!!! Any ideas anyone????
