DVD ROM on my MAC pro wont burn anything.
I can read CDs and DVDs but it doesn't want to burn anything.
Shall I buy a new one?
Is there something with toast or hardware is done with burning?
Which one to buy?
Which one is suitable for Mac pro?

Your Mac's Specs
MacMini 14.3, 8.1 & 4.1, OS 13.5, 10.14, & 10.11 & 10.6; Macbook Pro 8.2, OS 10.12.
What brand of optical drive in your Mac Pro? Avoid that brand next time.

Pioneer brand gets my vote as a replacement. Since MPro is SATA, the 216D or 217D would be ideal. Replacing the drive should not be difficult inside a tower machine. Just take careful note of where every wire and connector goes (I'd use a camera).
