I have recently bought a Mac Mini and have tried using it with my existing monitor which is a Samsung SM226BW. It originally worked fine and I managed to get full resolution of 1680 x 1050 but now I get the bottom of the Dock missed off or I can get the whole of the screen but only on two thirds of the monitor. I have downloaded SwitchRes and seemed to have spent hours trying to set it up using data form the Samsung manual.
I know the monitor is OK as it still gives 1680 x 1050 on Windows Vista.
I thought Macs were easier to setup but I must admit Windows seems much easier.
Can anyone help me r provide suggestions?
